How to make an image background transparent

    The AI removes the background on your device. The checkerboard shows the transparent areas; drag the slider to compare with the original, and use Touch up to fix any spot.

Tips for a clean transparent PNG

Start with a photo that has one clear subject and some contrast between it and the background. Good, even lighting helps the AI find the edges.

If a faint, see-through haze is left around the subject, open the Edges tab and raise the Mask threshold. If a small area is wrong, use Erase to remove it or Restore to bring it back, and zoom in for detail. Undo and redo are always there.
